4.1 Structural Inefficiency in ACG Value Capture

The ACG industry has evolved into a highly sophisticated content and distribution ecosystem, yet its economic infrastructure remains structurally inefficient. Value creation occurs at multiple layers—content production, community engagement, and global distribution—but value capture remains concentrated within centralized intermediaries.

Revenue generated from intellectual property is typically extracted through licensing agreements, merchandise sales, and platform-controlled monetization channels. These mechanisms are inherently linear and do not scale proportionally with global fan engagement. As a result, a significant portion of economic value generated by ACG ecosystems remains unmonetized or is captured by entities that are not directly contributing to value creation.
